So you've made the difficult decision to end your fertility journey, and you're still kid-free...

now what?
After seven years struggling with infertility, I never imagined I could be happy without kids. But here I am, crushing it as the world's happiest dog mom!
My husband and I would have given ANYTHING to have kids. We tried everything - and we failed. Over and over and over again...

Clomid (ER visit)
IUI (2 failed)
IVF (3 failed)
Surgery (useless)
Egg Donation (1 failed)
Embryo Adoption (2 failed)
Adoption (3 failed)

Making the decision to stop trying to build your family can be agonizing - trust me, I know. But if and when you are ready to move on, you'll be surprised at how much life has to offer.

For me, it turned out to be travel. And dogs.
I've always loved dogs, but never imagined I'd become such a rescue advocate (adopt, don't shop!). As soon as we officially stopped trying, we rescued two lab mix puppies and THEY. ARE. MY. LIFE. They bring me immense amounts of joy every single day - and they give me purpose.

Being kid-free has also given me the opportunity to focus on my career, and allows for quite a bit of travel. Having the freedom to see the world is an incredible gift, especially with no guilt or child-care costs!
And when you're in airports across the country almost every week, you start to notice things. It's astonishing how many people don't look in the mirror before they leave the house.
That's how Airport Runway was born.

So after 7 painful and very expensive years trying to force our lives down one path, we decided to let it go and capitalize on our kid-free lifestyle. And you know what? It's AWESOME.
My husband and I love to travel, and we have the freedom to do just about anything we want, whenever we want. We book weekends at the last minute without giving it a second thought. We're enjoying so much of what the world has to offer... things we wouldn't have experienced otherwise.
Our two rescued fur babies (yes, that's totally a thing) give us the 'family' we so desperately needed. You never know where life will take you, but if you look up from your phone now and then, you just might end up with an amazing life you never even imagined!
